Six Killed in Firing on Passenger Vehicle in Kurram’s Lower Area
KURRAM – Wednesday, September 3, 2025 – Six people were killed when armed men opened fire on a passenger vehicle in Lower Kurram, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The incident took place near Mahora, as reported by police and national media.
The passenger vehicle was traveling from Daradar to Sadda when unknown attackers ambushed it. Police said all six passengers on board died on the spot. The bodies were later shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Sadda for post-mortem.
After the attack, the gunmen managed to escape. Police teams reached the location, collected evidence, and began an investigation.
Police have not yet confirmed the motive behind the deadly assault. Security experts say the province has been facing a rise in both terrorism and targeted killings.
In many cases, long-standing tribal and family disputes also lead to bloodshed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These rivalries, sometimes continuing for generations, fuel cycles of revenge attacks where one group targets members of another.
Authorities are now investigating whether the incident was an act of terrorism or part of a local feud.
