Israeli PM Netanyahu threatens Pakistan, Qatar amid Israel’s continued aggression

11 September, 2025 16:14

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sparked strong criticism after releasing a two-minute video message on the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

In his statement, he threatened countries like Pakistan and Qatar while trying to justify Israel’s recent attack in Doha.

Netanyahu compared Israel’s actions to America’s pursuit of al-Qaeda after 9/11. He recalled how the US tracked down and killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, suggesting that Israel would also strike militants outside its borders if they were given shelter.

The Israeli leader warned Qatar and other nations not to host Hamas or similar groups, or else Israel would continue launching such attacks abroad.

Qatar’s Strong Response

The Qatari Foreign Ministry condemned Netanyahu’s remarks, calling them a desperate attempt to defend Israel’s “cowardly attack” on Doha. Officials said that comparing Israel’s assault to America’s response after 9/11 was a shameful and misleading excuse for violating another country’s sovereignty.

Qatar stressed that hosting Hamas officials was not secret but part of mediation efforts requested by both the United States and Israel in the past. The ministry said Netanyahu’s accusations were false and only aimed at covering up Israel’s crimes, which the international community has already condemned.

On Tuesday, Israel carried out strikes in Doha, the capital of Qatar, targeting senior Hamas leaders. The move has fueled regional tensions, with Qatar accusing Israel of using baseless justifications to continue attacks beyond its borders.
