Petrol prices in Pakistan likely to rise from September 16
People may soon face another hit from inflation, as a new increase in fuel prices has been proposed, according to a report on Saturday.
According to sources, the price of petrol may rise by Rs1.54 per litre, taking it from Rs264.61 to Rs266.15.
The price of high-speed diesel is also expected to go up by Rs4.79 per litre, increasing it from Rs269.99 to Rs274.78.
In addition, a price hike of Rs3.60 per litre is proposed for kerosene oil, and Rs3.68 per litre for light diesel.
If approved, the new prices will take effect from Monday at midnight.
