CM Punjab E-Taxi Scheme 2025 – Apply Online, Eligibility & Installments

The Punjab government has announced the CM Punjab E-Taxi Scheme 2025 to provide jobs and promote eco-friendly transport. The scheme will help young people and unemployed citizens by offering electric taxis on easy, interest-free installments.

Key Features of Punjab E-Taxi Scheme

• Drivers will get electric taxis on installments without interest.

• In the first phase, 1,100 vehicles will be given through a transparent ballot.

• Taxis will include GPS, smart meters, and official branding for safe and reliable travel across Punjab.

Cars Offered

The scheme includes electric models such as:

• Honri Ve 2.0

• Dongfeng Box

• Other approved EV cars

These will be provided through simple financing plans.

Eligibility – Who Can Apply?

• Must be a Punjab resident, age 18 or above

• Must have a valid driving license

• Must have a clean banking record

• Both men and women can apply

How to Apply – Step by Step

• Online portal opens: September 2025

• Last date to apply: October 2025

• Balloting & verification: November 2025

• Cab distribution: December 2025

Applicants will need to fill the online form and upload required documents once registration starts.

Installment Plan & Financing

• Price per car: Rs6–6.5 million

• Down payment (30%): Rs1.8–2 million

• Bank financing (70%): Rs4.5 million

• Monthly installment: Around Rs60,000

This makes it easier for successful candidates to own an e-taxi and earn a stable income.

• Applications start: September 2025

• Balloting & verification: November 2025

• Cab delivery: December 2025 onwards
