Nawaz Sharif leaves for London for medical check-up

Former Prime Minister and PML-N President Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif left for London on Monday on a Qatar Airways flight for a routine medical check-up.

According to family sources, Nawaz Sharif will undergo health examinations during his stay in London and is expected to remain there for around two weeks. He may also stop briefly in Doha, Qatar, before reaching London.

Earlier, on September 8, 2025, Nawaz Sharif had medical tests at Lahore’s General Hospital. His check-up was conducted in the neuro ward under the supervision of Professor Dr Asif Bashir. The doctors carried out MRI scans of his cervical spine and brain.

Medical reports said that Nawaz Sharif has been facing muscular pain, so doctors advised detailed investigations. Additional tests were also performed in the angiography department for DCR (Dacryocystorhinostomy) evaluation.

Hospital officials confirmed that these tests are part of routine medical checkups to monitor his neurological and muscular health.
