Security Forces Kill 13 Indian-Sponsored Terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan Operation

RAWALPINDI, 24 September 2025 – Pakistan’s security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan, killing 13 Indian-sponsored terrorists linked to the banned group Fitna al Khwarij.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists were actively involved in multiple attacks, including a suicide bombing in Daraban in December 2023, targeted killings of government officials, and abductions of innocent civilians.
During the operation, security forces engaged the hideout and eliminated all 13 militants. A cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from their possession.
The ISPR said the terrorists had been working as proxies for India and were behind several violent acts in the region. Their activities aimed to destabilize Pakistan through targeted violence and terror facilitation.
A follow-up sanitization operation is now being carried out in the surrounding areas to eliminate any other Indian-backed terrorists hiding in the region.
The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to eradicating Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country and ensuring peace for its citizens.
