Gold prices in Pakistan reach record high – check new rates

Gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high on Wednesday, following the sharp rise in international markets.

In the local market, the price of gold per tola jumped by Rs3,500, hitting Rs410,278, while the price of 10 grams rose by Rs3,001 to Rs351,747, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

This comes after a big increase on Tuesday, when the per tola price climbed to Rs406,778 following a Rs3,178 single-day surge.

The international market also saw a rise on Wednesday. The APGJSA reported that the global price of gold stood at $3,890 per ounce (including a $20 premium), showing a $35 increase in a single day.

Silver prices followed the trend, going up by Rs50 per tola, reaching Rs4,826.
