Govt orders suspension of internet in Islamabad and Rawalpindi from tonight

ISLAMABAD: The government has announced the suspension of mobile internet services in Islamabad and Rawalpindi starting from midnight tonight, creating concern among residents of both cities.

According to official details, 3G and 4G mobile internet services will remain suspended until further notice. The Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control issued a notification stating that the competent authority has approved this decision.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has been directed to implement the order in coordination with the Commissioners and Police Chiefs of both Islamabad and Rawalpindi. All relevant officials have been instructed to make sure the suspension is fully enforced.

Residents have expressed worry that shutting down mobile internet will make communication difficult in both cities. However, the government has not provided any clear reason for the suspension.
