Pakistan Responds with Force After Unprovoked Afghan Firing Backed by India

12 October, 2025 17:44

Pakistan has responded forcefully to what officials described as an unprovoked attack from Afghan territory, involving coordinated minor-level kinetic actions on several border posts. According to security sources, these acts of aggression were part of a larger strategy allegedly backed by India to support Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) infiltration and destabilize Pakistani border regions.

“Minor-level coordinated kinetic action on some posts from the Afghan side came through from across the border. The Pakistan Armed Forces has retaliated with proportional, multi-domain military force employment, targeting all threats that are being engaged with.”

The Pakistan Armed Forces launched retaliatory strikes targeting hostile positions across the border, resulting in the destruction of multiple Afghan posts. The military response, described as measured yet effective, was aimed at neutralizing all active threats.

Officials claim that this escalation reflects a broader agenda, with India allegedly using Afghan soil and proxy actors to advance its strategic objectives against Pakistan. The statement further accused Afghan authorities of “sheltering and supporting TTP terrorists” and serving “India’s dirty agenda.”

“Afghanistan has sadly become a breeding ground for terrorism, exporting nothing but violence and instability to the region.”

Despite the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) announcing a unilateral ceasefire in light of the conflict, Pakistan has firmly rejected the offer, vowing to maintain its right to self-defense in the face of ongoing provocations.

“Afghanistan MoFA has announced a ceasefire which Pakistan has refused to accept.”

The Pakistan Armed Forces continue to hold their ground, emphasizing the country’s sovereignty and security.

“Pakistan has responded decisively. An attack was met with strength. Our borders, our pride: fully defended.”

Meanwhile, multiple countries—including Saudi Arabia and Qatar—have expressed concerns over the escalating situation. Both nations have called for restraint, dialogue, and de-escalation, while reaffirming their commitment to peace and stability in the region for both the Pakistani and Afghan peoples.
