Indian Officials Abroad Becoming Global Security Threat, Report Claims
Indian officials living abroad are now being seen as a serious threat to global security, following accusations of state-sponsored terrorism linked to India. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the misuse of sensitive intelligence has emerged as a growing challenge for international security.
According to a detailed report by Reuters, Indian-origin expert Ashley Tellis has been arrested in the United States for allegedly possessing classified U.S. defense documents illegally.
The U.S. Department of Justice confirmed that Tellis is accused of holding unauthorized national defense information. FBI agents reportedly found over 1,000 classified documents, marked “Top Secret” and “Secret,” during a search of his home.
Court documents state that Tellis removed this sensitive material from U.S. defense and foreign affairs offices. As a former official with the State Department and Pentagon, he had “Top Secret” security clearance.
Tellis also previously served on the U.S. National Security Council during President George W. Bush’s administration.
The incident has raised alarms, with calls for the international community — including the U.S. — to take strict action against India’s growing involvement in such dangerous activities.
Experts now warn that India, under Modi’s leadership, is becoming a symbol of mistrust and a serious threat to international peace and security.
