Sahir Lodhi, Associate Booked in Alleged Rs40 Million Investment Fraud Case

19 August, 2026 16:30

Pakistani TV host and actor Sahir Lodhi and his associate Faisal Zia have been booked by Karachi police over an alleged Rs40 million investment fraud.

The case was registered at Shah Latif Town police station after Naghma Wakeel, a resident of Landhi’s Majeed Colony, approached police with a complaint against Lodhi and Zia.

According to the FIR, Wakeel said she was introduced to Lodhi through a man named Faisal Lashkar Wala. She alleged that she later gave Lodhi Rs40 million for investment.

Wakeel claimed that Lodhi returned Rs250,000 on one occasion and Rs400,000 on another. She also alleged that he gave her seven cheques as part of an agreement to return the remaining money.

According to the complaint, two of the cheques, worth Rs8 million and Rs9 million, were deposited at a bank branch in Qa’idabad but were returned unpaid.

Wakeel said she informed Lodhi about the failed payments, after which he allegedly issued another cheque for Rs44 million. She claimed that this cheque also bounced.

She further alleged that when she contacted Lodhi about the remaining amount, his friend Faisal Zia gave her a Rs20 million cheque. However, that cheque was also allegedly dishonoured.

After making several attempts to recover her money, Wakeel approached the District and Sessions Court Malir.

She filed an application under Sections 22-A and 22-B of the Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking directions for police to register a case.

Following the court’s order, police registered the case against Lodhi and Zia. Authorities have now started investigating the allegations.
