Ali was referring to the familiar group of male actors who have been part of the franchise since the first film was released in 2015. The cast includes Humayun Saeed as Sherry, Ahmad Ali Butt as Pervez, also known as Pipi, and Vasay Chaudhry as Sheikh. Fahad Mustafa joined the series as Rahat in Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 2.

The comedy films follow the lives of these characters as they deal with marriage, family life and a series of fun and adventurous situations.

Ali’s joke quickly caught attention because of its playful take on the franchise’s recurring male cast, who continue to play youthful characters on screen.

His comment comes as work is underway on Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 3. The upcoming film is set to bring back the main cast for another adventure in Thailand, while actor and comedian Yasir Hussain is also joining the franchise.

Ali Azmat’s lighthearted comment has added to the buzz surrounding the much-awaited third installment.
