Latest monthly return on Rs2 lakh investment in Behbood Savings Certificates

ISLAMABAD: The National Savings Centre (Qaumi Bachat Bank) continues to offer attractive monthly profits on Behbood Savings Certificates for investors in Pakistan.

The profit rates were last revised in July 2025, and the same rates are still effective in October 2025.

Purpose of the Scheme

The Behbood Savings Certificates were first launched in 2003 by the government to help widows and senior citizens earn a stable monthly income. Later, in 2004, the scheme was also opened to disabled persons and special minors through their guardians.

These certificates are among the most popular investment options for elderly citizens because they provide monthly profit and are considered a safe and reliable way to earn income.

Available Denominations

The certificates can be purchased in amounts of Rs5,000, Rs10,000, Rs50,000, Rs100,000, Rs500,000, and Rs1,000,000.

Who Can Invest

According to the official rules, the following people can buy Behbood Savings Certificates:

  • Senior citizens aged 60 years or above

  • Widows (who have not remarried)

  • Two eligible persons jointly (such as a senior citizen and widow)

  • Disabled persons with a disability logo on their CNIC, and special minors through guardians

Investment Limit

  • A single investor can invest up to Rs7.5 million

  • Joint investors can invest up to Rs15 million

Monthly Profit Details

The current profit rate on Behbood Savings Certificates is 12.96% per year.

  • If you invest Rs100,000, you can earn about Rs1,080 per month.

  • If you invest Rs200,000, your monthly profit will be around Rs2,160.

The scheme continues to be a great option for people looking for safe and steady income, especially retirees, widows, and persons with disabilities across Pakistan.
