Twitch streamer QTCinderella, whose real name is Blaire, has apologized after facing massive backlash over alleged homophobia and racism. The controversy began when she appeared in a joint live stream with RealKatieB and Vanillamace, where they discussed their connections with other controversial creators.
During the stream, Blaire explained that being friendly or talking to people with problematic views doesn’t mean she supports those opinions. She shared a personal story about her trans step-brother, revealing that their father doesn’t accept his pronouns. Despite this, she continues to talk to her father, saying it’s important to educate people rather than cut them off.
What Triggered the Backlash?
Many viewers didn’t agree with QTCinderella’s statement. They criticized her for staying in touch with people accused of being bigoted, calling her transphobic and homophobic.
RealKatieB, who is openly lesbian, stayed silent during the discussion, while Vanillamace, who identifies as pansexual, nodded in agreement but later said she was only reacting naturally, not agreeing.
After realizing the conversation might lead to online drama, the three decided to delete the VODs and clips. However, viewers had already saved and shared the videos on social media, especially X (Twitter).
QTCinderella’s Threat to Sue Viewers
On another live stream, someone informed QTCinderella that people were reuploading the deleted video. She angrily responded, saying she would send cease-and-desist letters and even sue those who repost her clips.
“If you can send my mod the username, I’ll happily send them a cease and desist. I’m not afraid to sue — it’s like $500 to prove a point,” Blaire said.
This reaction caused further outrage, with fans comparing her to controversial creators who use legal threats to silence criticism.
QTCinderella’s Apology and Clarification
After the heated response, QTCinderella went live on Monday to apologize to the LGBTQ community. She admitted her words were poorly chosen and clarified that her lawsuit comment was not about the controversial discussion.
According to her, the cease-and-desist statement referred to another stream where she performed her unreleased songs, which fans had reuploaded without permission. She said she simply wanted to stop others from profiting from her music.
Vanillamace Reacts to the Controversy
Before Blaire’s apology, Vanillamace addressed the issue on October 27, 2025. She said she understood Blaire’s intentions but didn’t agree with her belief that one should stay close to bigoted people to change them.
Vanillamace admitted she was uncomfortable during the stream but didn’t speak up because she didn’t want to be labeled a backpedaler. She added that everyone on the call looked uneasy and that she plans to avoid collaborations for a while.
RealKatieB Stays Silent
As of now, RealKatieB has not commented on the situation. Many fans are waiting to hear her side of the story.
The controversy has divided the Twitch community, with some defending Blaire’s explanation while others believe her apology came too late.
