PPP Gives AJK PM Deadline to Resign Amid No-Confidence Move
Muzaffarabad: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has given Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq a deadline to resign by 2 PM today.
Sources said that PPP sent a message asking the Prime Minister to step down by the given time. If he does not resign, a no-confidence motion will be filed after 2 PM.
PPP reportedly has the support of 36 members. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq has decided to face the no-confidence motion. Yesterday, he stated that if anyone has the required numbers, they should bring the motion.
Earlier, PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) had agreed to jointly move a no-confidence motion against the Azad Kashmir Prime Minister.
Additionally, the parliamentary party of PML-N in Azad Kashmir, along with the federal party leadership, will hold a meeting today to coordinate with PPP regarding the no-confidence motion.
