Shadab Khan Nears Comeback After Recovering from Shoulder Injury

11 November, 2025 10:42

Lahore: Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan is close to making his long-awaited return to cricket after recovering from a shoulder injury that sidelined him for several months.

According to reports, Shadab has made strong progress in his comeback journey and recently played in a practice match at the Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) Ground.

The 27-year-old, who underwent shoulder surgery in July, looked in good form during the game — a positive sign for fans and selectors ahead of Pakistan’s upcoming fixtures.

Shadab took part in the match alongside Azam Khan and young fast bowler Ali Raza, while National Cricket Academy coaches closely monitored their performances. The session aimed to check the fitness and match readiness of players returning from injuries.

Shadab’s surgery had ruled him out of major events, including the 2025 Asia Cup and several bilateral series against Bangladesh, the West Indies, and South Africa.

With Pakistan preparing for the 2026 T20 World Cup, Shadab’s return is seen as a key boost for the team.

Reports suggest that his first competitive appearance could come in Australia’s Big Bash League, where he is expected to rejoin the Sydney Thunder after the upcoming tri-nation series.
