Karachi is currently undergoing a seasonal transition, with cooler, hazy mornings and dry evenings, as reported by the Met Office.

On Sunday, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 15.8°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to rise to 31°C. On the previous day, the maximum temperature had been 31.5°C with 30% humidity in the air.

According to weather officials, northeasterly winds are blowing through Karachi during the mornings, contributing to the cooler feel. The city is in the midst of a transition from warmer conditions to cooler weather, with temperatures expected to gradually drop as winter approaches. By mid-November, the city will experience a steady decline in temperatures, signaling the official start of the winter season.

However, along with the cooler weather, the air quality index (AQI) has shown a rise in pollution levels, with particulate matter reaching a concerning 152 on the AQI scale, indicating polluted air in the city.

As the season shifts, residents are advised to be mindful of air quality and prepare for the expected cooler conditions in the coming weeks.
