By-Election Results Begin to Emerge Across Punjab and NA Seats
Polling for by-elections in six National Assembly and seven Punjab Assembly constituencies has concluded, and the first unofficial results have been received.
In NA-18 Haripur, PML-N’s Babar Nawaz Khan is leading with 131 votes at polling station 582, followed by PTI-backed Shehnaz Umar Ayub with 96 votes.
Faisalabad is witnessing tight contests in multiple constituencies. In NA-96, PML-N’s Bilal Badr Chaudhry leads with 7,755 votes from 40 polling stations, while independent candidate Malik Nawab Sher Waseer trails with 4,762 votes. In NA-104, PML-N’s Daniyal Ahmed is ahead with 3,495 votes, followed by independent Rana Adnan with 1,545 votes. For the Punjab Assembly, results from PP-98 and PP-116 are still awaited, while in PP-115, PML-N’s Mian Tahir Jamil leads with 3,181 votes against independent Muhammad Asghar’s 215 votes.
In NA-129 Lahore, PML-N’s Hafiz Noman is leading with 148 votes at polling station 289, while PTI-backed Arslan Ahmed trails with 104 votes.
NA-143 Sahiwal shows a clear lead for PML-N’s Choudhry Tufail Jutt, who has 13,100 votes from 43 polling stations, with independent candidate Zarar Akbar far behind at 919 votes. Meanwhile, in NA-185, PML-N’s Sardar Mahmood Qadir Laghari leads with 13,098 votes, while PPP’s Sardar Dost Muhammad Khosa has 4,752 votes.
Punjab Assembly constituencies are also seeing strong leads for PML-N. In PP-73 Sargodha, Mian Sultan Ali Ranjha is leading with 8,659 votes, followed by independent Muhammad Haris Ranjha with 2,028 votes. In PP-87 Mianwali, PML-N’s Ali Haider Noor Khan leads with 463 votes, independent Nawabzada Ayaz Khan has 48 votes, and Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan’s Khalid Masood has 9 votes. PP-203 Sahiwal sees PML-N’s Hanif Jutt leading with 6,098 votes, while independent Falak Sher Dogar has 811 votes.
Notably, PP-269 Muzaffargarh is witnessing a PPP lead, with Mian Alamdar Qureshi securing 10,511 votes, followed by independent Sardar Iqbal Pitafi with 6,456 votes.
