Water Supply in Karachi to Remain Suspended for 12 Hours Today
Water supply in many areas will be cut for 12 hours today (Thursday) due to the maintenance work that is ongoing at the Dhabeji sub-station and grid station.
The Water Corporation spokesperson said that during this maintenance, the city will get 100 million gallons less water.
Because of this, areas like Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal, DHA, Chanesar Town, Jinnah Town, North Nazimabad, and Gulberg Town will receive less water.
K-Electric will be working from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Last month, repair work on big pipelines and pumping stations also caused water problems in the city. At the North East Pumping Station, a 48-inch main pipeline has started leaking, and maintenance is still going on.
Because of these issues, three pumps that supply water to Karachi have been shut down. One pump at the Dhabeji Pumping Station is also not working due to repairs.
