Is Mehak Malik the New Owner of a PSL Franchise?
Social media has been buzzing with claims that famous transgender dancer and TikToker Mehak Malik has purchased the new Faisalabad franchise in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The news has gone viral across platforms, with users congratulating what they believe to be the “first transgender owner of a PSL franchise.”
Some posts even allege that Mehak Malik bought the franchise for Rs. 3 billion.
However, no official confirmation has been issued regarding this claim. Neither the Pakistan Super League nor the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released any statement suggesting that Mehak Malik has acquired any PSL team.
According to available information, these claims appear to be mere social media rumors with no credible sources behind them.
The actual situation is that two new teams will be added in PSL 11, increasing the number of teams from six to eight in the 2026 season.
The auction for the new franchises is scheduled for January 6, 2026, where successful bidders will choose their team’s city and name from a shortlist of six cities—including Faisalabad.
Thus, no new franchise owner has been finalized yet, and the rumors relating to Mehak Malik remain unverified.
