All Three Suicide Attackers at Peshawar FC HQ Confirmed as Afghan Nationals

Investigations into the suicide attacks at the Peshawar Federal Constabulary (FC) Headquarters are ongoing, with authorities confirming that all three terrorists killed in the assault were Afghan nationals.

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) verified the attackers’ Afghan nationality, according to officials. However, further personal details of the assailants have not yet been released. Investigators have reportedly questioned more than 100 suspects as part of the inquiry.

The attacks, which occurred on 24 November, left three FC personnel martyred and resulted in the deaths of the three terrorists after security forces successfully foiled the assault on the headquarters.

Investigators have obtained CCTV footage showing the attackers’ movements from Rehman Baba graveyard to the FC Headquarters. Officials noted that the suicide bombers did not carry mobile phones on the day of the attack, complicating efforts to trace their networks.

Authorities are actively working to identify and locate any accomplices or facilitators linked to the attackers. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General Zulfiqar Hameed stated, “We have tracked the suspects quite far back. We are now trying to establish exactly how they entered the city.”

Investigators have also identified where the attackers spent the night before the assault. The motorcycle used in the attack has been seized, and forensic teams have successfully extracted fingerprints from it. “The terrorist’s motorcycle is now in our possession, and fingerprints have been obtained from it,” Hameed confirmed.

The blasts prompted a significant security review in Peshawar, with authorities emphasizing the importance of ongoing investigations to prevent similar incidents in the future.
