16 December, 2025 15:22

London: A British newspaper revealed the numbers of 4 Rafale jets shot down during the Indo-Pakistan war in May.

A research report by the British defense journal Key_Aero magazine states that four Rafale fighter jets of the Indian Air Force were destroyed in a 52-minute air war between Pakistan and India in May.

The report states that the numbers of the destroyed Rafale aircraft were BS 001, BS 021, BS 022 and BS 027, while India failed to provide any clear images with the serial numbers of these four aircraft.

The report said that Pakistan’s multi-domain operations paralyzed the Indian Air Force. The total losses of the Indian Air Force include 4 Rafales, MiG-29, Su-30 and Heron drones.

The British journal’s report further states that on May 10, a JF-17C Block 3 destroyed the S-400 defense system in Udhampur, while the Pakistani Air Force destroyed the Indian command and control system in Barnala.

According to the report, Pakistani cyber units paralyzed about 96 percent of India’s social networks and digital systems, the first time an air force took action by combining cyber and conventional military measures.

The report states that Indian Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan admitted the destruction of Indian aircraft in an interview. Earlier, the Pakistani Air Force had shot down an Indian MiG-21 in Operation Swift Retaliation.
