Oil Smuggling Tunnel Seized in Karachi, 4 Suspects Arrested

Authorities in Karachi have successfully prevented an oil theft attempt from the National Oil Refinery pipeline, arresting four suspects in connection with the case.

According to the Special Investigation Unit, the suspects had dug deep inside a warehouse to plan the theft. Police officials confirmed that the four individuals, attempting to steal from the PARCO pipeline, were taken into custody. The suspects had constructed a tunnel 17 feet deep and 140 meters long.

In the Shah Latif area of Karachi, authorities also recovered a deep well from a plot, which appeared to have been used for stealing gas or oil.

The arrested suspects were found in possession of clips, pipes, and other equipment intended for the oil theft.

“Earlier, an attempt to steal oil from the PARCO line running from Port Qasim to Multan was also foiled in Karachi,” police added.
