King Khan’s King Releasing in 2026

After weeks of anticipation, Shah Rukh Khan’s next release, King, appears to have locked its release date. The Siddharth Anand directorial, which also features Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan in a key role, is set to hit theatres for Christmas 2026.

The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, and Suhana Khan, along with a few newer faces.

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the team had been deliberating between two dates: December 4 and December 25, 2026. The team has now finalized Christmas as the release slot. A source revealed that Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand wanted to give the film the biggest possible theatrical runway while being mindful of the crowded release calendar.

A Christmas release gives King a clear path, with no major Hindi films lined up. While a Hollywood release is expected around the same time, in Bollywood, a Shah Rukh Khan film remains an event in itself for many cinema-goers.
