Good News: Bricks price set at Rs 12,000
The government of Pakpattan has fixed official prices for bricks and sand to help citizens planning to build houses and those working in the construction business.
An official said the decision follows the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He added that authorities are closely monitoring the market to ensure sand and bricks are available at government-approved prices.
Officials also said that anyone charging more than the set prices will face strict action. Price control magistrates, the Para Force, and inspectors from the Consumer Protection Council are actively checking the market to keep prices within limits.
Latest Brick Rates in January 2026
A-class bricks: Rs 12,000 per 1,000 pieces
B-class bricks: Rs 9,000 per 1,000 pieces
Sand Rates in January 2026
Sand: Rs 5,000 per 100 cubic feet
Gravel: Rs 3,400 per 100 cubic feet
Authorities emphasized that overcharging will not be tolerated, and legal action will be taken against anyone exploiting the public.
