Kohra 2 Release Date Out: Mona Singh and Barun Sobti Return

The popular series Kohrra is set to return with its much-awaited second season. Ever since Season 2 was announced, fans have been eagerly waiting for an update. The streamer has now finally revealed the release date and unveiled a brand-new poster featuring Mona Singh and Barun Sobti.

While Season 1 was helmed by Randeep Jha, this time the directorial duties have been taken up by Sudip Sharma along with Faisal Rahman. Kohrra 2 will see Barun Sobti reprise his role as cop Amarpal Garundi. However, while in the previous season he was posted under Suvinder Vicky’s Balbir Singh, this time his commanding officer will be Dhanwant Kaur, played by new entrant Mona Singh.

As per a press release shared by the makers, “Season 2 brings a fresh case and a new pairing, rooted once again in Punjab’s bleak, wintry terrain, where silence often speaks louder than a confession.”

Barun Sobti essays Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarpal Garundi, who is transferred from Jagrana to the Dalerpura Police Station. He works under Mona Singh’s character, Dhanwant Kaur, a strong and dedicated officer. While their approaches may differ, both are driven by the same relentless pursuit of the truth.

As the investigation deepens, the narrative also delves into personal struggles, unresolved trauma, and complicated relationships, proving that the past refuses to stay buried.

In the upcoming season, Sudip Sharma, the creator and showrunner of Kohrra, steps into the director’s role for the first time, alongside Faisal Rahman. The show is produced by A Film Squad Production in association with Act Three, with Saurabh Malhotra, Sudip Sharma, Manuj Mittra, and Tina Tharwani serving as producers.

The second season of Kohrra was announced in February last year, and it is now set to premiere on February 11.
