Hyderabad PSL Owner Breaks Silence on Captaincy Decision

Fawad Sarwar, the owner of the new PSL franchise Hyderabad, has made an important clarification regarding the team’s leadership, saying that the captain will not be chosen solely on the basis of fame or seniority.

According to Fawad Sarwar, owner of the new PSL franchise Hyderabad, leading the team is a responsible role, for which the right skills and leadership are most important.

Fawad Sarwar said that the team management has made a clear policy for the selection of the captain. He said that whether the player is Pakistani or foreign, he will not be given the captaincy based on name or experience alone. The decision will be made after full consultation, and the player who can lead the team in the best way will be selected.

He said that a good captain is one who makes the right decisions on the field and keeps the team united. Every player will be judged on this standard. Fawad Sarwar also praised former national captain Babar Azam and called him his favorite player. He said that if given the opportunity, he would like to make Babar Azam a part of his team.

It should be noted that the Hyderabad franchise has also completed its coaching team. Former Australian cricketer Jason Gillespie has been appointed as the head coach, while Grant Bradburn and Craig White have been assigned the responsibility of assistant coaches.
