07 February, 2026 09:55

Ramadan begins next week, Kuwait has announced the official working hours for government offices during the holy month.

Muslims around the world are preparing to welcome Ramadan, a time of fasting and increased worship. During this month, many Muslim countries adjust office hours to accommodate religious practices.

Kuwait has also issued new government office timings, effective from the first day of Ramadan. According to Arab media reports, the Civil Service Commission stated that “government office working hours during Ramadan will be four and a half hours.”

Employees will have the flexibility to start work anytime between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM, as long as they complete the four and a half hours of work.

The Civil Service Commission has instructed all government departments to implement these timings throughout the month of Ramadan.

It is worth noting that the first day of fasting is expected on 18 February in Arab and Gulf countries, while in Pakistan and other regional countries, it will likely begin on 19 February.
