Big Relief Announced for Intermediate Students in Punjab Ahead of Exams 2026

Lahore, February 12, 2026 – The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairpersons (PBCC) has announced a major relief for intermediate students by extending the admission schedule for the HSSC (Intermediate) 1st Annual Examinations 2026.

The revised schedule allows students more time to submit their forms, easing pressure ahead of exams set to start on May 20, 2026.

Admission Schedule for HSSC Exams 2026

• Single Fee: January 19, 2026 – February 19, 2026 (previously February 11, 2026)

• Double Fee: February 20, 2026 – March 2, 2026 (previously February 12 – 24, 2026)

• Triple Fee: March 3, 2026 – March 12, 2026 (previously February 25 – March 9, 2026)

This extension will benefit thousands of students across Punjab who were unable to meet the previous deadlines.

Result Dates for Intermediate Exams

• HSSC Part-I (11th Class): Expected on September 23, 2026

• HSSC Part-II (12th Class): Expected on October 22, 2026

Biometric Registration Made Mandatory

The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) in Punjab have made biometric attendance compulsory for all matric and intermediate candidates.

A letter from BISE Lahore stated:

“Live scanning of both thumbs of all candidates is compulsory during registration for Class IX and Class XI. Any negligence will be the responsibility of the institution’s head.”

Schools and colleges must arrange laptops and devices for thumb scanning according to the technical specifications issued by the boards.

This initiative is part of the Chief Minister’s Task Force on Examination Reforms, ensuring transparency and reducing fraud in the upcoming exams.

Students and institutions are urged to complete all biometric registration processes on time to avoid any issues during the exams.
