Sindh govt announces school timings for Ramadan 2026

The Sindh government has announced new school timings for Ramadan 2026. These timings will apply to all public and private schools working under the School Education and Literacy Department across the province.

According to the notification issued on February 17, 2026, the new schedule will be followed by primary, secondary, higher secondary, and elementary schools.

Primary Schools

For single-shift primary schools, classes will be held from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm from Monday to Thursday.

In double-shift primary schools, the first shift will run from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. The second shift will start at 11:45 am and end at 2:45 pm.

On Fridays, single-shift primary schools will operate from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. In double-shift schools, the first shift will be from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, and the second shift will run from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm.

Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools

The same timings will be followed by secondary, higher secondary, and elementary schools.

From Monday to Thursday, single-shift schools will remain open from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. In double-shift schools, the first shift will be from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, and the second shift will be from 11:45 am to 2:45 pm.

On Fridays, single-shift schools will function from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. Double-shift schools will follow the 7:30 am to 10:30 am first shift and 11:45 am to 1:15 pm second shift schedule.

These new timings have been introduced to make it easier for students and teachers during the holy month of Ramadan.
