Taylor Swift Named ‘IFPI Global Artist of the Year’ Award

A popular Us pop star Taylor Swift wins the biggest-selling global artist of 2025 by IFPI (The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry), it’s the fourth successive year and she got this annual prize on sixth time. The award distinguishes global performance across streaming, digital downloads, and physical album sales, evaluating an artist’s entire catalog over the calendar year.

As compare to other artists she has won the awards so many time over the past ten years, which show her creative consistency and the long-term universal plans supporting her releases.

In 2014, she won her fist IFPI global award then in 2019 and from 2022 to 2024.

The 36-year-old’s success was turbo-charged by the October release of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, which set several streaming records, as well as the release of a docuseries about her record-breaking The Eras tour.

2025 was another landmark year, driven by exceptional worldwide engagement across streaming, physical and digital formats with the release of her 12th album The Life of a Showgirl and the documentary of her tour The End of an Era.

Other artists to make the IFPI Global Artist Chart, were K-pop superstars Stray Kids, who came in at #2, their highest every ranking, and third consecutive year in the global top five. Bad Bunny, highest-streaming artist was placed at #5, and other top 5s such as Drake at no 3 and the Weeknd no 4
