Deputy PM Ishaq Dar and British High Commissioner Discuss Regional Security

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar received British High Commissioner Jane Marriott today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the Commonwealth’s close and continued engagement with Pakistan. However, he informed the High Commissioner that he would be unable to attend the forthcoming Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting (CFAMM) due to the prevailing regional situation.

Regarding regional developments, Ishaq Dar emphasized the urgent need for de-escalation and restraint to ensure peace and security in the Middle East and the wider region. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and maintaining a close dialogue on global challenges.
