Ivanna Ortiz Charged With Attempted Murder & Face Life Sentence

Ivanna Ortiz faces life sentence after shooting 10 shots at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home.

A woman accused of firing shots at the residence of pop star Rihanna has been formally charged with attempted murder and could face a life sentence.

March 10, Tuesday 35-year-old Ivanna Ortiz appeared in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday for a hearing to determine whether to plead guilty or not guilty, as indicated in court documents.” foreign media Page Six reported.

Ortiz, reportedly charged not only this shooting charges bout multiple other charges as well, including nine counts of assault with a firearm, two counts of firing at an inhabited dwelling, and one count of firing at a vehicle.

For hearing, Ortiz appeared wearing prison uniform, and two pigtail braids with blond hair, she didn’t appeal during overall hearing, and the next hearing will be 26 March.

After the arraignment, prosecutors stated that Ortiz could receive a life sentence given the charges. Ortiz is currently detained on a $1.8 million (approximately 2.64 billion Korean won) bail and has been issued a restraining order against Rihanna and her partner Aisepu Raki.

On March 8, at about 1:20 p.m., Ortiz is accused of driving up to the front of a home belonging to Rihanna in the 9500 block of Heather Road and firing a semiautomatic weapon multiple times at the house. There were people on the musician’s property as well as an adjacent house, but no one was struck by gunfire.
