Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Sindh government during a parliamentary party meeting held on Sunday.
Addressing lawmakers, Bilawal Bhutto said that despite various challenges, the provincial administration led by the chief minister and his cabinet was managing the province’s affairs effectively. He added that development activities in Karachi are expected to resume soon.
The PPP chairman emphasized that the party prioritizes resolving public issues rather than creating political conflict. Referring to criticism directed at officials handling emergency situations such as the Gul Plaza incident, he described the criticism as “incomprehensible.”
Bilawal also voiced support for Murtaza Wahab, saying that certain opposition against the Karachi mayor was politically motivated. He reiterated his confidence in Wahab’s leadership and performance.
The meeting was attended by Asif Ali Zardari, PPP co-chairperson Faryal Talpur, and other senior party leaders, where discussions focused on party unity and governance during ongoing domestic and global challenges.
President Zardari commended the chief minister and his cabinet for their dedication, urging them to continue providing relief and public services despite difficult circumstances.
Bilawal Bhutto concluded by stressing that political leaders must remain united during uncertain global conditions, adding that both the Sindh government and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation would respond to any propaganda through improved performance and concrete results.
