Jessie Buckley wins Oscar for Best Actress dedicates to all Mothers

An Irish actress Jessie Buckley wins an Oscar award for best actress in historical drama film Hamnet, was her first ever academy award. The event held on Sunday, March 15, at the Dolby Theatre in LA. She dedicated her historic- making wining to the “beautiful chaos of a mother’s heart”.

The Award ceremony fell on Mother’s Day in the UK, the actress felt moved to dedicate her win to mothers worldwide.

Jessie gently said, ““It’s Mother’s Day in the UK today, so I would like to dedicate this to the beautiful chaos of a mother’s heart.”

Her emotional speech, about thanking the moviemakers, her fellow nominees and special thanks for those who supported her journey.

The most heartfelt part about the speech, was to focused on mothers, and praised their strength, resilience and creativity.

Buckley thought that motherhood carries both beauty and chaos, yet it shapes the world in remarkable ways.

Jessie also gave a heartfelt shout-out to her parent and husband Freddie Sorensen.

She said, ““Fred, I love you, man. You’re the most incredible dad, and I want to have 20,000 more babies with you.”

By giving gratitude to her husband, during speech she also mentioned her eight-month-old daughter and said “And Isla, my little girl, who has absolutely no idea what’s going on and is probably dreaming of milk—but this is kind of a big deal. I love you; I love being your mom, and I can’t wait to discover life beside you.”

To conclude her speech, she explained that the award as one of her greatest achievement and honor of her life. Not only that, she also highlighted that the recognition we achieved is belongs to our mothers everywhere as well. By dedicating her Oscar to them, she turned her personal success into a tribute to the strength and emotional depth of motherhood.
