Prince Harry Hoping to Reunite with Family at Sandringham
Prince Harry remains keen for his children to spend more time with King Charles III and it’s now reported that Sandringham is being talked about as a possible destination for such a reunion.
In a new interview, the Duke of Sussex said he hopes that the king will invite him and his children to visit the Norfolk estate this summer.
Harry has maintained that he does not feel it is safe to bring his wife and children to the UK without armed security.
A friend of Harry’s told the Sunday Times: ‘if The King were to invite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex along with Prince Archie and Princess Lillibet to the country, they would get the level of protection that they feel is needed.’
“He’d like an invite to Sandringham. Would he go? It would depend on who is there.”
He added: “If the King wants to see the kids, all he has to do is invite them. There are lots of scenarios to make it work, but it’s all out of Harry’s hands.”
Sandringham is the private property of the Monarch. It was bought by the future Edward VII in the 19th century and has since been left by each Monarch to the person who succeeds them although it is a personal gift rather than part of the Crown Estate. That means it is up to the Monarch who lives there and on the properties within the wider estate.
