Iran Military Warns ‘Sharks Await US Troops’ Amid Invasion Threats
Iran’s military has warned that any US land invasion will have disastrous results and that American soldiers would end up as “good food for the sharks of the Persian Gulf.”
Iranian forces are ready to take immediate action if US President Donald Trump’s warnings come to pass, according to a statement from the Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters spokesperson.
Iran’s military is “counting down the moments” for the destruction of US forces in the event that a land invasion or takeover attempt is made, according to Lieutenant-Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaqari.
He stated that such aspirations are “nothing but a pipe dream” and that Trump has frequently threatened Iran with ground operations and the seizure of some Persian Gulf islands.
He claimed that Iranian forces have been waiting for this kind of action for a long time in order to show that “aggression and occupation will have no result other than disgraceful captivity, dismemberment, and the disappearance of the aggressors.”
The warning coincides with rumors in the media that the Pentagon is getting ready for weeks of ground operations in Iran in the event that the current bombing campaign is unable to accomplish its goals.
Iran has strengthened its defensive positions throughout the nation in reaction to these concerns, especially in the southeast near the Strait of Hormuz and along the vital southwestern border with Iraq, where US bases are situated.
Trump has pushed US forces into a “quagmire of death,” according to Zolfaqari, who also denounced him as “the biggest liar among presidents in the world” and “completely unreliable.”
Additionally, he noted that American personnel had deserted devastated locations out of fear of casualties and sought safety in commercial and civilian hubs around the region, where they are still in danger.
Zolfaqari went on to say that Washington’s leadership had given military command to a “unbalanced” individual whose activities had harmed not only the United States but also Europe and West Asian nations.
Despite continued Tehran-Washington negotiations over the Islamic Republic’s civilian nuclear program, the United States and Israel launched an unprovoked attack against Iran on February 28, killing Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, and other senior military commanders.
Iran launched a barrage of missile and drone attacks on Israeli-occupied territory as well as US bases and assets in neighboring countries as soon as it started to fight against the invasion.
