Qalibaf Praises Nationwide Rallies Supporting Iran Forces

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf has praised the Iranian public for staging widespread rallies in support of the country’s armed forces, stating that national unity has thwarted what he described as an external plot against Iran.

In a message marking 30 days since the start of the conflict, Qalibaf commended citizens for their continued presence on the streets, backing both the military and the country’s leadership, including Mojtaba Khamenei.

He stated, “The street in the past 30 nights was the manifestation of social power of a nation that does not know failure, remains invincible, and does not tolerate the language of force,” highlighting the significance of public demonstrations.

Qalibaf further emphasized that the rallies demonstrated resilience and unity, countering expectations that the conflict would create internal divisions. According to him, “the great Iranian nation was a body more united than ever with ninety million souls, contrary to what the enemy anticipated. This unity was so brilliant and deep that it removed doubts about defending Iran, thus the enemy’s conspiracy backfired on it.”

The remarks come amid ongoing hostilities that began on February 28, following large-scale military actions involving the United States and Israel. Iran has since responded with missile and drone operations targeting regional assets and military installations.

Qalibaf noted that the situation has reached a critical phase, particularly concerning the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global energy route. He claimed that adversaries initially sought to weaken Iran’s military capabilities but have now shifted focus to controlling key waterways.

He also criticized Donald Trump, suggesting that the conflict has created challenges for the United States, including difficulties in securing international support and managing economic pressures such as energy market instability and rising food costs.

The Iranian speaker concluded that recent developments, including reported attacks on U.S. military assets, indicate that the country has maintained its defensive strength despite ongoing pressures.

The statements reflect Iran’s narrative of resilience and unity as the conflict continues to shape regional dynamics and global geopolitical concerns.
