Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen Killed: Husband Arrested as Relatives Warned Police of Danger

The tragic death of Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen on April 1, 2026, has shocked the community and raised serious concerns about domestic violence. Authorities initially classified the incident as a domestic violence case, and her husband, Stephen Bowen, was taken into custody shortly after her body was discovered.

According to recent reports, Stephen Bowen’s relatives were aware that Nancy’s life was in danger prior to the incident. They reportedly contacted emergency services and urged police to force entry into the home, insisting officers act “by whatever means.”
