Duffer Brothers’ New Show Wins Horror Fans’ Hearts
The Series of Netflix horror dropped something noteworthy departure from Duffer Brothers. Their previous work with Stranger Things, a supernatural interdimensional events. This new show is marked as the second horror drama series by the Duffer Brothers, who recently released Stranger Things Season five in December last year. This time the creator drop the story explores intimate relationship horrors and matrimonial dread as Rachel’s intuition about something sinister spirals into full-fledged nightmares. Haley Z. Boston‘s sharp writing keeps viewers perpetually unsettled.
Netflix’s latest horror-mystery, “Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen,” has rapidly grow into a standout series, attractive viewers with its disturbing idea.
The cast of the series Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ted Levine, Gus Birney, Karla Crome, Jeff Wilbusch and Zlatko Buric. Emmy nominee Weronika Tofilska, Baby Reindeer episode director, four of the eight episodes directed and served as executive producer. Axelle Carolyn (The Haunting of Bly Manor) and Lisa Bruhlmann (Killing Eve) directed the remaining episodes. The series was filmed in Toronto.
Camilla Morrone and Adam DiMarco will play the lead roles in new series.
The show arrives as the Duffer Brothers prepare to leave Netflix for a four-year exclusive deal at Paramount starting in April 2026. They still have two more Netflix projects to deliver: the animated series Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, premiering April 23, and the sci-fi drama The Boroughs, set for May 21.
