Trump Threatens Iran with 'Destruction,' , Sparks Global Concern
The financial cost of the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran is rising quickly, with estimates suggesting billions of dollars have already been spent in just a few weeks.
According to a report by the Financial Times, citing defence expert Elaine McCusker, the total cost of the war could be between $22.3 billion and $31 billion over five weeks. This means the US is spending around $500 million per day.

The report says the expenses are not limited to military operations. A large portion of the cost is going towards replacing damaged or destroyed equipment.
Iran has reportedly targeted high-value US military assets, including radar systems and aircraft. The damage and replacement costs for these systems alone are estimated to reach up to $3.6 billion.
Estimates from the Financial Times and the Center for Strategic and International Studies suggest that replacing some of the key equipment could be very expensive. This includes about $700 million for an E-3 AWACS aircraft, $160 million for a KC-135 refuelling plane, and $100 million for an F-15 fighter jet. Drone losses and advanced radar systems also add significantly to the total cost.
Experts say these losses are not only financial. The destruction of advanced systems could reduce the United States’ military readiness in other regions. There are concerns that ongoing spending and equipment losses may leave the US more vulnerable in future conflicts, especially in areas such as Asia.
The situation highlights the growing economic pressure of modern warfare, where costs continue to rise alongside the scale and intensity of military operations.
