Donald Trump Says No Backup Plan If Iran Talks Collapse
Washington: US President Donald Trump has said that the United States has no alternative plan (Plan B) if the ongoing negotiations with Iran fail.
During a conversation with reporters, a question was asked about what the US strategy would be if talks with Iran failed or the Strait of Hormuz was not reopened. To this, President Trump took the position that there was no need for any backup plan because, according to him, the situation had already changed.
According to Trump, Iran’s military capability has been affected, its missile-building capability has been limited, and Iran has suffered significant damage due to US actions.
On the other hand, as a major diplomatic development in the region, peace talks between Iran and the United States are underway in Islamabad, with high-level delegations from both countries participating.
These talks are being described as crucial for reducing tensions in the region and for a possible ceasefire.
