Ruby Rose Dating Life Explored as Assault Allegations Against Katy Perry Spark Global Attention
Australian actress and model Ruby Rose has come under intense public focus following serious allegations made against pop star Katy Perry, bringing renewed attention to both her career and personal life.
Rose recently alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Perry nearly two decades ago, stating that the incident had a lasting emotional impact. Sharing her experience publicly for the first time, she said:
“Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a shit what she thinks. I was only in my early 20s. I’m now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly. Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes.”
In response, Perry’s representatives strongly denied the claims, calling them false and damaging. In a statement, they said:
“The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies. Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.”
Amid the controversy, many are revisiting Ruby Rose’s personal life, particularly her relationship status. Currently, there is no confirmed information suggesting that Rose is dating anyone publicly.
Over the years, Rose has been linked to several high-profile relationships. She previously dated singer Jessica Origliasso and was engaged to fashion designer Phoebe Dahl in 2014, although the engagement ended the following year. Rose later rekindled her relationship with Origliasso in 2016 before the pair separated amicably in 2018. Reports also linked her to model Vjollca Haxhari around 2019, but since then, she has kept her romantic life largely private.
Rose rose to global fame through her role as Stella Carlin in the popular series Orange Is the New Black and made history as the first LGBTQ+ superhero lead on network television with her portrayal of Batwoman in 2019.
Beyond her career, Rose has openly discussed her personal struggles, including mental health challenges and past trauma, which she says have shaped her journey.
As the allegations and responses continue to generate debate online, public attention remains divided between the ongoing controversy and interest in Rose’s private life. No official investigation outcomes regarding the claims have been reported so far.
