Germany and Pakistan Discuss Digital Media Cooperation in High-Level Meeting

H.E. Ms. Ina Lepel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Pakistan, called on Mr. Fahd Haroon, Minister of State and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Digital Media, at his office today.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the evolving global landscape of digital platforms, focusing on emerging opportunities and challenges within the digital media sector. The discussions placed special emphasis on countering fake news and disinformation, improving online safety, and addressing the misuse of digital platforms for illegal activities, along with other matters of mutual interest.

Mr. Jan Gerald Krausser, Head of Communications, Cultural Affairs and Protocol at the German Embassy, was also present during the meeting.
