UAE Eid holidays expected to increase travel to nearby countries

Eid al-Adha is expected to fall at the end of May this year in the United Arab Emirates, and many people have already started planning their holidays. Reports say that the Day of Arafah is likely to be observed on May 26, while public holidays may continue from May 27 to 29.

People who also get Saturday and Sunday off could enjoy around six consecutive holidays. Because of this long break, many residents are considering short trips abroad during the Eid holidays.

According to tour operators in the UAE, travelers are mostly choosing destinations that are easy to visit without strict visa requirements. Short flight times and pre-arranged travel packages are also important factors, as people want to avoid spending too much time planning their vacations.

Tourism companies say that Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Seychelles are currently among the most popular travel destinations for Eid holidays this year.
