Just In: A Senior Pentagon official says the cost of the war is $29bn so far – up $4bn from a previous estimate which can probably increase more with the US spending more time in Iran.

But observers and Economists raises questions on the official figures coming out of Washington, with Democratic Party lawmakers and economists estimating the actual cost to the US economy could amount to over $1 Trillion.
