IRGC Ground Force Commander Warns of Decisive Response to Any Aggression

The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force has warned that any act of aggression against Iran would trigger a strong response from the country’s armed forces. Brigadier General Mohammad Karami made the remarks on Thursday during a visit to Iran’s Persian Gulf islands, stressing that Iran’s military would respond decisively to what he described as any miscalculation by the enemy.

Karami said Iran’s armed forces were backed by what he called divine support as well as the vigilance and presence of the Iranian people. His remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and continued military confrontations involving Iran, the United States and Israel.

According to Iranian accounts, the confrontation has also involved attacks on strategic targets and developments surrounding the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran has repeatedly emphasized the readiness of its armed forces to respond to threats and has portrayed control over the strategic waterway as a key element of its defensive posture.
