Two Nigerian Nationals Arrested in Pakistan Over Anmol Pinky Drug Trafficking Case Linked to International Network
Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested two suspects in Punjab in connection with the high-profile Anmol Pinky drug case, according to the reports.
Officials confirmed that the two individuals taken into custody are foreign nationals, believed to be Nigerian citizens allegedly linked to a drug trafficking network operating in Lahore.
Sources stated that investigators expanded the scope of the inquiry after analysing data recovered from Anmol Pinky’s mobile phone, which reportedly revealed possible connections to an international narcotics syndicate.
Authorities believe the arrested suspects were part of a broader global drug trafficking network allegedly connected to the ongoing case.
Anmol, also known as Pinky, was earlier arrested this month from her apartment in Karachi’s Garden area during a joint operation conducted by police and a civilian intelligence agency. She faces charges related to narcotics possession and an unlicensed weapon case.
Investigations into the so-called “Cocaine Queen” case have further widened, with authorities reportedly preparing a list of police personnel suspected of receiving bribes linked to the network.
According to investigative sources, at least 12 police officials are alleged to have received regular payments from the network, including officers from Karachi’s South Zone police. However, no evidence has been found against any personnel from the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), sources clarified.
Meanwhile, South Zone police are preparing to question a suspect named Sameer, believed to be associated with the network. Officials are also expected to approach the court soon for an extension of his remand as the investigation continues.
