Azma Bukhari avoids detailed comment on Momina Iqbal Case
The ongoing controversy about Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal and MPA Saqib Chadhar, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari address the issue while speaking to media, when a media person asks her response on this matter, she said that she said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz does not intend to protect the accused in the case. Though she highlighted that every matter has always two sides of story, and it should be examined carefully before reaching any conclusion.
Punjab Information Minister also said that as the issue involves a woman’s dignity and sensitivity, so she unable to comment in details. She further stated that that such matters are often private in nature and should be handled through proper legal and institutional channels instead of public debate.

Following statement comes out after the actress Momina Iqbal accused MPA Saqib Chadar of harassment and of issuing threats to her family by shared a story on her Instagram, in which she directly appeals to CM Mayam Nawaz to take a legal action, as she had already reported the case several time to and cyber official, but received no proper response from authorities. The actress cautioned that if officials continued to ignore her complaint, she would hold a press conference and present all the evidence she has. After her post, CM Maryam Nawaz took notice of the situation and issued an official directive. The case has now been placed under NCCIA investigation for further legal proceedings.
