Iran Pursue Peace with Strength says Deputy FM

Iran’s deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs says the Islamic Republic pursues peace with strength and diplomacy with dignity.

Kazem Gharibabadi made the remarks in an X post on Sunday, marking the anniversary of the liberation of the strategic Iranian port city of Khorramshahr on May 24, 1982, after more than 500 days of Iraqi occupation during the eight-year imposed war on Iran.

He said that the 3rd of Khordad in the Iranian calendar (May 24) is a reminder of an enduring truth in the country’s history, according to which a nation that is the victim of aggression and occupation reserves the inherent right to legitimate defense of its territory, independence, and dignity.
